The CMAS Diver 3 is the final level course of recreational diving suitable for who, after the D2 certification, wants to continue the scuba diving career becoming a dive leader able to organize and plan dives for groups in almost all environments (lakes, alpine lakes, sea, night dives,…) always ensuring the maximum safety and proficiency. The CMAS D3 certification opens the way also to the instructor career.
Goal
The CMAS Diver 3 course is designed to refine and enhance the skills acquired in the D2, and to extend them by learning new abilities like how to conduct groups, how to plan advanced deco dives, how to execute ascents while doing decompression stops, how to react in case of emergencies at increased depths and many other things. Also the acquired theoretical knowledge is refined and improved with advanced physics, anatomy and physiology concepts, basic seamanships topics, CPR and first aid training.
After you get the certification it will allows you to dive until 40 meters depth.
Duration
The CMAS Diver 3 course is usually conducted over eight to twelve days (full or half) and includes at least fifteen open water dives (preceded by land drills), one swim test and ten theoretical lessons conducted in classroom.
Conclusion
The course ends when the students have passed a written exam and have fullfilled all the pratical outcomes, included having logged at least 100 total dives.
